How to Make Simple Chicken in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
I wanted to create a recipe that would be easy for anyone to throw together using the things they already have in their spice rack, drawer or cabinet (wherever you keep your spices…we actually keep ours in all three of those places! lol). This Simple Crock Pot Chicken recipe is truly that, it is super simple without lacking for flavor!
Michael actually helped me pull this one together. He uses this same mix of spices to pan fry up yummy chicken tenders for us all the time. Of course, he cooks like Momma cooks and never measures anything, but I have put together measurements to make it easier for you guys to recreate this delicious chicken main dish in your home!
If your crock pot cooks hot (like I know my 4-quart oval slow cooker does), start checking your chicken breasts around the one hour and fifteen minute mark. I know there are some slow cooker that will take around two hours to cook a chicken breast. However, if your slow cooker is a hot one, check them with a meat thermometer around an hour and fifteen minutes so you make sure you do not dry out your chicken.
